Woodlawn Arts Academy and Dixon Public Schools proudly present our winter musical theatre production of “Mary Poppins Jr.,” featuring talented 4th-8th graders from Dixon’s Reagan and Madison Schools.
Shows will be:
Friday, Jan. 9th at 7pm
Saturday, Jan. 10th at 7pm
Sunday, Jan. 11th at 2pm
James A. Wiltz Auditorium at Dixon High School
Tickets go on sale December 22nd at https://www.ticketleap.events/events/centennialauditorium. Tickets also will be available at the door. *Ticket prices have increased due to fees through a new ticketing system. Woodlawn Arts Academy does not profit from this change. The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”
