Join us at Lake Elmo Park Reserve for a special prairie-themed book discussion and educational hike. We will discuss Sea of Grass: The Conquest, Ruin, and Redemption of Nature on the American Prairie by Dave Hage and Josephine Marcotty, followed by a short hike with a prairie expert. The hike will take about one hour and will cover natural terrain.
This event takes place on the first Tuesday of the month, which is a free admission day for all Washington County parks. A vehicle permit is NOT required to enter the park for this event.
Registration is required. Once you’ve registered, you will be contacted to arrange for a copy of the book to be delivered to your preferred library location to check out.
