About this Event
Come explore the world of natural skincare at Hawk Creek Farm with me, Emelina, a community herbalist and creator of a local San Francisco based beauty brand for sensitive skinned humans.
In this 2-hour class, I’ll guide you through how to start your natural skincare journey in a way that feels accessible and realistic. Together we'll meet, identify and learn about the healing properties of plants that can be used in your natural skincare ritual that grow abundantly in San Francisco.
You’ll craft your own face or body oil, experience the healing ritual of clay face masks and get to know your local ecosystem better. Together we'll explore gentle, plant based ways to care for your skin in a playful relaxed setting. Plus you’ll get to take home some freebies (a $45 value) to help you leave feeling empowered and ready to care for your skin with earth, flowers, oil and water.

Info: What better way to learn about the healing benefits of clay masks then to experience it first hand. We'll mix and apply a clay mask in this playful sensory activity.

Introduction to Natural Skincare
Info: We've been sold the narrative that we need chemicals to care for our skin but we'll discuss ways to care for your skin in a new way. While our clay masks dry we'll learn about 2-3 herbs that can support skin health and learn ways to balance skin pH, restore your sebum layer, and moisturize your skin with just plants, clay oil and water.

Info: We'll rinse off clay masks and pamper ourselves with hyrosols and oils

Craft Your Own Oil
Info: Now that you have the knowledge you'll put it to use crafting either a body or face oil of your choosing. I'll have dried herbs available as well as oils and you'll get to blend your own oil unique to you and your skin needs.
