Explore the natural history of mezcal with agave specialist Jorge Báez of Licores Perros at a spirited fundraiser for the Museum. You’ll leave with a greater appreciation for the ecosystems that make mezcal and agave spirits possible, a more thoughtful approach to tasting it, and a clearer understanding of how to support its sustainable future.
Jorge Báez brings a multidisciplinary lens—as a chef, cultural steward, and advocate for Indigenous traditions—offering more than a standard tasting. Each pour becomes a window into the landscapes, communities, and time-honored techniques behind the spirit. Licores Perros is an import and distribution company offering exceptional agave distilled spirits and beverage products to the Central Coast. The company strategically partners with families and producers in Mexico to uphold a commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing.
This event includes a tasting kit with six 0.5 oz expressions of curated mezcal and agave spirits as well as a delicious snack.
General Admission: $55
