Natural Coiled Basketry Class

About this Event
This one-day, hands-on class is ideal for anyone who wants to understand and create with natural materials. Basket making is more than a craft – it is a way to reconnect with your hands, slow down, and transform simple fibers into something tangible. As we learn to work with a plant material, we understand the biology of that particular plant in a new way. We connect with the environment around us and that connection gives our work a unique, additional layer of meaning.
This class will work as a community of makers. Traditionally, the meditative time spent creating together gave makers a space to weave community knowledge. Hands and minds joined, chronicling shared stories.
