Native Species BioBlitz & Restoration Event - Newport Valley / Project Grow

Getting involved with this event with help you learn plant identification through iNaturalist, technical invasive species removal skills, and with our BioBlitz, we will be supporting scientists with important data through community science!

The day of, participants will need to make sure they have iNaturalist (not iNat Classic) downloaded on their phone. The group will use iNaturalist to identify all plants or animal/insect species they find and remove persistent invasive species.

The restoration site being visited is a site maintained by California Coastal Commission's program Project Grow, where native plants are thriving, so the area is dense with plant life.
