Learn how to incorporate native plants in your landscape or home garden with Pamela Callender, Eco Artist and native landscape designer.
About this Event

This class is presented by Pamela Callender, an Eco Artist who designs native plant landscapes for commercial and home properties. In this landscape design course, she will share her artistic process that anyone can follow. Yes, everyone is an artist, and no straight lines are necessary. You can build a butterfly garden, learn how to attract birds in your yard, and/or create a full, new look for your property from start to finish.

The course will cover how to determine the wants, needs, and affordability of your landscape project, plant communities, installation and maintenance, and breaking myths about plants and design. These topics are accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation and free literature with a research bibliography. Attendees should bring a pad of paper and a pencil.

The class will take place indoors in an air-conditioned classroom and include a short walk around Bay Preserve, with a 30-minute break for lunch or a snack. Light refreshments will be provided, but participants may wish to provide their own lunch.

This program is suitable for adults and teens. This is a lecture-style program that may not be suitable for small children.

A $5 dollar donation per person is suggested for this program. Your gift will help us save wild places and continue to engage people in nature. We greatly appreciate your support!
