Native plant event

Join our pal and font of knowledge Sara R is hosting our first (annual??) native plant event. Your natives too small for the May seedling event? We got you neighbor. You can bring some to trade, to donate, or just bring you. There will be lots of native plants and lots of Q and A about natives and perennials. Is there a better way to celebrate the Solstice than celebrating our native plants??
Event HOURS very ONLY 11a-2p
YARD address revealed few days before event and very near Revolution Brewing / Belmont/Kedzie. EasyPeasy!
Super advice from Sara Rose:
She digs up as much of the root ball as possible, Then gently rinses the soil from the root ball. This reduces/prevents the transfer of W**d seed and soil disease. You can transport your plants to the swap in a bucket of water.
If your preference is to leave the soil on the roots - water the soil and place plants in a bag. Dry soil will pull water from the plant.
Sara often cuts plants back when she transplants them (with or without soil ball).
If small seedlings, suggest potting them in small containers.
