It's time for Native Plant Day again! The Friends of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park are proud to sponsor this annual, local-favorite event!
Upper Keys locals have a chance to bring home two native plants for their yard! Nursery volunteers from Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock will have booths to help visitors pick the perfect plants their space and needs. Visitors can also learn the importance of native plants, how to propagate and care for native plants, and how to plant butterfly gardens. The native plants, raised by our very own park nursery volunteers, will be given away for planting at Keys’ residences only.

9:30 AM – 30-minute Butterfly Garden Tour and 45-minute Guided Rockland Hammock Nature Walk*
10:30 AM - “Native Know-How: Creating Vibrant and Resilient Landscapes in the Keys”
