National Renewables in Ag Conference
Save the date
11 August - Farmer-only gathering (afternoon)
12 August - Conference and Expo day
13 August - Farm tour to See Saw Winery using solar
We're excited to share details about this year's Conference, happening 12 August in beautiful Orange - famous for it's cool climate wines & gourmet food culture.
New for this year, we’re introducing a farmer-only gathering on the afternoon prior to the Conference. This smaller, informal session is designed to create a meaningful peer-to-peer learning experience, with farmers coming together to share insights and tips. We'll have farmers who have hosted wind turbines and those using renewables to cut diesel and electricity for their operations.
Speakers (more to come)
Maggie Jarrett, cutting costs with solar at See Saw winery.
Chris Freney, poultry farmer creating power from chicken litter.
Francis Clarke, farmer using his electric vehicle for bi-directional charging to the grid (and making a bomb!).
Essential Energy's CEO John Cleland.
Farmer & inventor Malcom Lucas on his electric combine harvester.
Rosie Barnes who hosts Youtube channel 'Engineering with Rosie'.
Glenn Platt (Conference favourite), Emergent Group, talking battery storage.
Wind farm host & farmer Peter Coy on using turbine income for uni scholarships for country kids.
Claire Booth lawyer and farmer on tax & insurance when hosting renewables.
