National Moth Week: Moth Lighting

It’s National Moth Week! There are more than 11,000 species of moth in the United States, with over 1,400 species found in Florida. In this event, we will be learning about these powerhouse pollinators in a brief classroom presentation. Afterward, we will set up equipment to attract moths and identify these nocturnal species. This event is dependent on the weather. It is appropriate for all participants who can handle the late hour and are not afraid of flying insects. Flashlights are recommended.
