Napa Farmers Market Tour and Cooking Class

Get ready to embark on a fully-immersive Napa Valley foodie experience! Join PLAYTE Kitchen’s very own, Chef Sandy Sauter, on a guided tour of the beautiful Napa Farmers Market, where she is also the Culinary Director. In this class, you'll have the opportunity to explore and shop for the freshest, locally sourced ingredients and meet the local farmers and artisan food producers face-to-face.

After the tour, you'll have an hour of free time and be given some “market bucks” to spend at the market before heading back to PLAYTE Kitchen where Chef Sandy will guide you through the process of creating a delicious meal utilizing the ingredients you just purchased. With hands-on instruction, you'll learn how to prepare and cook each dish, while also picking up tips and tricks for creating dishes that showcase the flavors of the season.

By the end of the class, you'll have not only expanded your culinary knowledge and skills but also have a newfound appreciation for the importance of utilizing fresh, local ingredients in your cooking.

On the menu is a seasonal farmers market salad, parmesan risotto with market meats, cheeses and vegetables , and seasonal fruit galette.

The PLAYTE Kitchen farmers market tour and in-person cooking classes is approximately 5 hours in length (one hour guided tour of the Napa Farmers Market, one hour of free time to explore the market, followed by 2 hours cooking in the kitchen at PLAYTE Kitchen Studio and an hour to enjoy the food you’ve prepared). All guests will be provided kitchen towels, aprons, a class recipe packet to take home, and plenty of foodie fun along the way. A confirmation email will be sent upon ticket purchase will all the info you’ll need to know prior to arriving for your class.
