This April we will do a walk of Nanaimo's quaint Old City Quarter! Come join a group of other photographers of all levels who want to practice portrait photography in an outdoor setting. Please note that we will all take turns modelling so that everyone gets a chance to take photos. Having different subjects keeps things interesting, and giving direction is also part of the practice!
Meeting place:
We will meet outside the Corner Lounge in downtown Nanaimo and walk across the bridge together to the Old City Quarter.
What to wear:
Wear anything that will keep you warm, dry and comfortable as well will be walking for 2 hours. Bonus points if you wear a statement item or something colourful - all the better for photos! :) Feel free to bring props as well, but keep in mind we will be moving as a group.
Sharing photos:
It's a vulnerable thing to both be in front of the camera and learning behind it. To help create a safe and respectful community, please don't share photos that you've taken without asking anyone who is in the photo for their consent.
