Name that Florida Flora at Pine Lily Preserve

You are invited to join Orange County’s Green PLACE Program for a beginner-friendly plant ID hike at Pine Lily Preserve on Sunday, November 8th at 8:45 am. We will identify native flora and fauna and see firsthand what makes up a Florida wetland. Your guide has a background in plant science, entomology, environmental legislation, and genetics! This guided hike welcomes people of all skill levels, whether you are new to the Florida wilderness or an expert hiker. Please bring shoes that may get wet on the trail along with drinking water, sunscreen, a hat and some snacks.

As part of the inaugural Green PLACE Hiking Spree, attending this “Name that Florida Flora” hike will help get you closer to earning rewards for hiking Green PLACE properties. The event runs from National Public Lands Day on September 26th to Earth Day on April 22nd, the Green PLACE Hiking Spree is a great way to discover the remarkable variety of landscapes, plants and wildlife of Orange County.
