Join the Brooklyn NAACP for our annual advocacy day at the State Capitol. This pivotal event represents an opportunity for members and advocates of the Brooklyn community to engage directly with state legislators on critical issues affecting Black Brooklynites.

Our agenda is focused on advocating for legislative priorities that align with the needs and aspirations of our community. The key issues include education equity, criminal justice reform, economic development, healthcare accessibility, and voting rights, among others. This is a day to make our voices heard, share our stories, and push for meaningful change.

Throughout the day, participants will have the chance to:

• Meet face-to-face with state legislators and their staff
• Participate in advocacy training sessions led by experienced NAACP leaders
• Network with fellow NAACP members from across the state
• Observe legislative hearings and sessions
• Engage in discussions that shape our overall advocacy strategies
