After being on tour all summer, Mica Sun and Samara Jade finally debut their show of story and song in Asheville (Weaverville)!
This duo of wandering bards weaves a tale for all ages guaranteed to stir the waters of the heart and satisfy the most discerning of mythic palettes.
Jade & Sun touring this show across the country July through September, and were in Santa Fe when Hurricane Helene hit. They decided to extend their tour and played 6 more shows as benefit shows for disaster relief on their return journey...and they are excited to finally share what they've been sharing everywhere else in their home town!
The central story “The Floating Kingdom” is a theatrical tale of journey, consequence, and return. Oral storytelling tradition dances with seasoned leadership in music and voice, weaving puppetry with musical theater, classical fairy tale, and song circle — exploring themes of patriarchy, freedom, grief, aging, and the repair of our world.
The story is bookended with songs and music from long-time touring songstress Samara Jade.
