December 21 - Winter Solstice Fire Ceremony & Celebration

Winter solstice is the time of deepest darkness, rest that supports renewal and the slow return to light. In this period of darkness, we have an opportunity to go inward with deep intention, to care for our spiritual selves, our bodies and minds, our loved ones and families, and to prepare for the longer days ahead.

Creating space, with the help of a Sacred Fire, you can feel deeply into what you need to let go of thus allowing new perspective and awareness to build as the sun slowlly returns. Let us be with the dark and introspective time.

Afterwards, we will celebrate together in our home -- reflecting on the history of the past, the gift of the present, and looking forward to the mystery of the future.

Please reserve your "seat" through EventBrite and also cancel if you decide not to come. This helps us with planning.

Feel free to invite others. All are welcome. There is plenty of space.

SCHEDULE - join us for any or all activities.

• 4-5 pm - Walk to the River. Meet at 4:00 pm at the council house.
• 5-7 pm - Introspection at the Sacred Fire. At 5:00 pm a Sacred Fire will be lit by the Firekeepers to create a special quiet space. Transform as you release. The Spirit of Fire can help each of us feel deeply into what we need to let go of to allow the new to arise. During this time, if you choose, you are also welcome to write down what you feel you need to let go of from this year and place it into the fire when you feel ready. Please bring your own pen/paper/headlamp.
• 7-10 pm - Join us in our home afterwards. Once you feel complete at the fire, come back to our home and share food, song, dance, stories and games until about 10 pm. Please bring a pot of soup or your favorite food/drink to share. Huichol art will also be for sale.

COST: Suggested donation of $5 - $20 for the hearth. While listed as a free event, donations even as small as $5 are really helpful. Funds collected help offset the expenses involved in hosting monthly fires and events. Please send via friends and family. Thank-you❣️ Paypal link .
