Join us at Rosenquist Fine Art as we host the amazing works of local artists, Jan Jahnke and Roxane Mayeur for their show titled "Myth & Symbol."The show will run April 3-May 9, 2026
Opening reception: April 3, 2026 from 6-8:30pm
Gallery Night MKE Weekend: April 17, 2026 from 6-8:30pm and April 18, 2026 from 11am-3pm
Using diverse styles and techniques, Jan Jahnke and Roxane Mayeur each present a body of work that explores the roles of myth, symbol, and universal truth in personal journeys. They often draw inspiration from their pasts by using natural materials like wood, rusted metal and wax, that mirror the passing of time. Both
artists employ physical approaches to their art making to create mixed media work by layering, sanding, scraping and mark- making to create symbolic narratives, while inviting the viewer to explore their own connections to the imagery.
Enjoy snacks and drinks and have a conversation with the artists. Their works will be on display through May 9, 2026.
