My Digital Child: Supporting Your Teenager to Stay Safe Online
About this Event
About this event
This parent carer workshop explores how to support teenagers in navigating today’s digital world safely and confidently. It provides an overview of current online risks, trends, and platforms that children may encounter, helping parent carers better understand their young person’s digital experiences.
The session offers practical guidance on setting appropriate boundaries, managing screen time, and encouraging responsible online behaviour. It also focuses on building confidence in having open, supportive conversations with young people about what they see and do online.
By increasing awareness and providing simple, effective strategies, the workshop aims to help families create a balanced and positive approach to technology use. Suitable for parents and carers of teenagers (or pre-teens), this session is designed to inform, reassure, and empower adults to keep their children safe while supporting healthy digital habits in an ever-evolving online landscape.
