Mutant Toy Workshop!

FREE • ALL AGES • FAMILY-FRIENDLY
Give old toys new life. Make weird stuff. Spread holiday joy!
Have a box of forgotten action figures, broken dolls, mismatched LEGO people, plastic dinosaurs, or toys that have seen better days?
Don't throw them away. MUTATE THEM! 🧪
Join us for an afternoon of creative chaos as we cut, swap, mix, match, and Frankenstein old toys into bizarre, hilarious, and wonderfully one-of-a-kind creations.
A dinosaur with Barbie legs? Absolutely. A three-headed superhero? Why not? A reindeer with robot arms and a questionable number of eyeballs? Now we're talking!
🎨 How it works
🧸 BRING: Old toys, action figures, dolls, miniatures, and other small plastic treasures you're willing to sacrifice to the creative gods. Broken and mismatched toys are especially welcome!
✂️ MAKE: We'll have shared tools and supplies to help transform discarded toys into mutant masterpieces. Kids can participate with adult supervision, and adults are strongly encouraged to embrace their inner mad scientist.
🎁 GIVE: Your creations will become part of the holiday magic at SantaCon Trinidad on Saturday, December 19, when costumed Santas, elves, reindeer, and other festive weirdos take to downtown Trinidad to sing carols, visit local businesses, and give away the mutant toys we made together!
❤️ Why are we doing this?
Because holiday cheer doesn't have to come from a store.
We're bringing neighbors together to reuse discarded materials, get creative, share some laughs, and turn forgotten toys into unexpected gifts.
It's part art workshop, part recycling experiment, and part wonderfully weird Trinidad holiday tradition.
You don't need to attend the SantaCon bar crawl to participate in the workshop. Everyone is welcome to help make the magic!
🎄 A few things to know
Free to participate! Shared materials and tools will be available.
All ages welcome; children must have an accompanying adult.
Bring clean, reusable toys if you have them. Please leave sharp, hazardous, or battery-damaged items at home.
Some cutting and assembly activities will require adult assistance.
You're welcome to bring extra toy parts to donate, even if you can't stay to create.
Let's make strange toys and happier holidays!
🎅 Part 1: Mutant Toy Workshop — December 12
🎄 Part 2: SantaCon Costume Bar Crawl (21+) — December 19
Invite your friends, bring your weirdest toy parts, and help us make Trinidad a little more wonderfully ridiculous.
