MUSIC OF THE OSPEDALI GRANDI
The orphaned and foundling girls from Ospedali Grandi in Venice received their music education from some of the most renowned composers of the time and gave public performances that attracted visitors widely across Europe. Our concert introduced by Professor Marica Tacconi (Pennsylvania State University) will present works by some of these famous masters and music written to display the virtuosity of the young women they taught.
