Here in District 21, we are excited to host Louder than Life and Bourbon and Beyond – two amazing festivals that add so much to Louisville’s music scene. At the same time, we recognize that these events also affect the neighborhoods surrounding the Fair and Exposition Center.
This year, both festivals are moving from the Highland Festival Grounds onto the fairgrounds proper. That means significant changes to traffic flow, accessibility on Phillips Lane, and how noise will reach nearby communities. The good news is that these changes are designed to help reduce noise impacts and improve overall neighborhood quality. It’s important that neighbors not only see the updated plans but also have the chance to ask questions, better understand the changes, and share input to help us keep improving.
We are grateful to Danny Wimmer and the team for working with us to make this opportunity possible. Please join us on August 27 at the Crown Plaza (Russell Shelby Room), located at 830 Phillips Lane, Louisville, KY 40209, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to learn more and be part of the conversation.
