With films such as New Wave, Black Rio! Black Power!, Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat and Move Ya Body: The Birth of House, we look at the ways these artists and movements tapped into the zeitgeist, spoke to us, galvanised us, made us dance and cemented their place in music history.
