Born in Athens in 1924, Plessas built a legacy that spans generations, earning universal admiration. A piano prodigy, he became the first soloist at the National Radio Foundation at a young age, later winning the University of Minnesota’s first music prize in 1952 and ranking fifth pianist in the United States the following year. His journey from virtuoso performer to revered composer and conductor reflects extraordinary talent and dedication.
