Welcome to the Park Church Music at Midday concert series. On April 1, our guests are baritone Jason Coffey assisted by pianist Phyllis Ann Miner. The program will Gabriel Fauré's L’horizon chimérique, Opus 118 and Let Us Garlands Bring, Opus 18 by Gerald Finzi.
Lunch is $7.00 per person and is served from 11:15-1:15. Parking is free in the Park Church lot for concert guests when there are spaces available. Groups are welcome but, to ensure the best experience, please let us know you are coming.
Jason Coffey is a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music where he received his Certification in Opera Studies, and Grand Valley State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, receiving top prizes in numerous regional and national competitions. Locally he has performed the title role in Gianni Schicchi with GVSU Opera Theater, Dr. Engel in The Student Prince, Paris in Roméo et Juliette, Sciaronne in Tosca and Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata all with Opera Grand Rapids.
Phyllis Ann Miner has served as a church musician since 1962 and is currently the music associate at Park Church. As a harpist, she provides music for weddings, funerals, visitations, receptions, etc. She is a Certified Music Practitioner, certified to play at the bedside of ill and dying patients. A solo and collaborative musician, Phyllis is honored to have performed with many of Michigan’s finest musicians and ensembles.
