Mushroom Mania

Come with us for a guided walk through the forest of O. O. Denny park in search of fungi! Together, we will learn about how different mushrooms support the plants and animals that depend on them and admire the beauty and strangeness of mushrooms all around us. Get to know the common mushrooms of our neighborhood, learn identification skills, and discover where to look as you grow your appreciation for another resident of our forests and gardens.

We will take a 90 minute walk through the forest along Denny creek, including some narrow paths with moderate slope. Bring appropriate footwear, water, and rain gear! This is a family-friendly event recommended for ages 8 and up.

Meet at the parking lot across the street from the playground at O. O. Denny Park.
