Having been many years since the Rabbit Prawn Kollective, last came up with a prawn related pun for an outdoor free party, we are very excited to announce "Multiple Entry Prawns" - A gathering in honour of our fallen soldier - Nya Patterson - And the speakers he built.
During a long and tedious battle with cancer, Nya decided it was a good idea to get cracking on John White's new open source speaker design, which are known as "Multiple Entry Horns" - A type of loudspeaker, made famous by Danley Sound Labs, and revered by audiophiles and soundsystem fanatics alike. Notoriously tricky to build and even harder to design, but well worth the pay off, being known for supreme clarity and fidelity across their entire range.
An incredible "Multiple Entry Horn" design was released in June 2025, along with an amazing set of plans. Then fuelled by Nya's impatience, saw that we finished the speakers in October 2025. They've made it out to provide luscious sound for a handful of events since then, but this will be the first opportunity to honour them properly, as part of the RPK soundsystem, but most importantly, honour the life of our beloved friend who built them, to provide word, sound and power for the people.
