About this Event
Day One of the Multidisciplinary Interpersonal Violence Summit (MIVS) offers a 101-level, foundational refresher training designed to benefit both professionals new to the field and those with years of experience. This day reinforces core concepts while promoting shared language, best practices, and coordinated multidisciplinary response.
MIVS is intended for law enforcement, nursing, social workers, victim advocates, and other professionals who come into contact with victims and survivors of interpersonal violence. Training topics include trauma bonding, investigating stalking charges, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and much more, providing a broad yet practical overview applicable across disciplines.
The day opens with a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Panel, highlighting the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and coordinated systems of care to improve outcomes for victims and survivors.
Registration is required.
While attendance for both days is highly recommended, participants may register for Day One or Day Two individually.
Those wishing to attend both days must register on both Eventbrite pages.
CEUs and LTEs will be granted for the following disciplines:
• Nursing
• Social Work
• Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy
• Law Enforcement
Registration closes on 3/9/26 at 12:00 PM.
Professionals and higher education students within the Law Enforcement, Medical, Social Work, Psychology, and Human Services fields are welcome.
