MTG Pick-2 Draft Open Play

Pick-2 Draft is an open-play option during our Commander Sundays. It's a perfect passtime for a group looking to try some draft in about the time it takes to play a single commander game. We have draft kits available for multiple sets. All you need is 4 players. Pick a set, each player pays an entry fee, and then take the kit to a table. In each kit you will find:

• 12 play boosters for drafting

• A pack of basic lands for deck-building

• 4 random promo cards for prizes at the end

• Some helpful tips on drafting and deck building

How to Draft

Players sit in a circle and each receives three play boosters, opens one, selects two cards from their booster, and then pass that booster to the player on their LEFT. Repeat picking two cards and passing until all cards have been selected. Then players open their second booster, continue selecting two cards at a time, and passing the pack to their RIGHT. After all those cards are drafted, players do the same with their third booster, passing to the LEFT again.

After all three boosters have been drafted, each player will have about 42 cards, which they can use to build a minimum 40-card deck, adding in any basic lands they need.

Players should play one-on-one games after drafting and deck-building. Play two rounds, with the winning players from the first round pairing up, and the other two players also pairing up.

After the second round is complete, prizes are handed out. Each player earns one random promo cards per win.

Please return all basic lands and tokens back to the box.
