Get excited for a relaxing twilight weeding session with the Friends of Mount Majura!
Take a break and de-stress in week 10 and join us for a trip to the stunning Mount Majura Nature Reserve! We'll be assisting volunteers from Friends of Mount Majura to remove weeds including thistles, Paterson's Curse, Briar Rose, and Sticky W**d that threaten the native plants that call the reserve home. Free snacks will also be provided!
We are also incredibly excited to be partnering with the Fenner School Society (FSS) for this event! The FSS provides a community for ANU students interested in environmental science.
We'll meet at the Hancock Library Carpark, near Hancock Library and the Research School of Chemistry on the ANU Campus, at 5:30pm sharp to carpool to the event. We'll be working on site from 6:00pm to 7:30pm with snacks to follow, and will return to campus between 8:00 and 8:30pm.
No previous experience or equipment is required! We will supply tools, gloves and snacks. Please wear sturdy enclosed shoes and long pants, and bring a hat and plenty of water.
If you have a car and are willing to help carpool others to the event, your help would be greatly appreciated! Please indicate this in your ticket response.
RSVPs are essential for this event, and numbers are limited to 30 people. Please register before 5:00pm on Tuesday the 8th of October.
