Come and explore a classic Goldfields circuit with us. We’ll start near Mt Franklin, an extinct volcanic crater formed around 470,000 years ago and one of the most intact scoria cones in Victoria. From there, we head into Tarilta Creek Gorge, known for its steep walls, tall eucalypts and open creek flats.We’ll then continue on to Vaughan Springs, once a busy mineral-springs resort in the early 1900s. The springs area is still a pleasant spot to wander through and take a break.
Along the way, you’ll see traces of old gold-mining activity and plenty of the varied landscapes that define this part of Victoria.
