Calling all Helens near and far. It’s time to gather and celebrate Mardi Gras!Our troop The Rose City Ropers will be walking for the second year in the Portland Mardi Gras Parade, hosted by Mysti Krewe of Nimbus.
5:30pm Meet up at Victoria Bar before the parade starts. It is a 1 minute walk from Victoria Bar to the staging area.
TIMING
5:00 PM Humboldt St. closes, 1 block east and west sides of Albina Ave.
5:00 – 6:30 Group captains check in
*6:00 - 6:30 Line Up*
6:45 PM Ready to Roll - Everyone should be in place and ready to parade
7:00 PM Parade start
8:00 PM Parade end (approximately 8pm) at the corner of N. Fremont St. & Miss. Ave.
*Parade Step Off is 7:00pm!* We cannot hold the parade. Stragglers can join the Second Line at Parade end.
· Rolling street closure. Parade route length: 12 blocks on N. Albina & Mississippi Avenues
· Parade ends at N. Fremont St, about ¾ mile
