On January 3rd we do something that no medical professional would ever recommend – we crowd into Denmark’s creepiest little movie theater, Husets Biograf, at 14.00 and overdose on a Frank Henenlotter festival that ends at almost midnight. Five films. A long, dirty sloppy wet kiss to that special kind of New York City sleaze that includes body horror, latex freaks, zombie hookers and much more. If you are a more-or-less functioning human being after that, you get a medal. Or in any case a cup of coffee. Or maybe both. (Our coffee also only costs 10kr.) This event is not “just” a marathon. It is a Moviebox marathon brought to life, or something that resembles life. Casper and Neils conduct a live podcast inside the theater and between each film. It’s a lot to look forward to: nerd excess, bad taste, unexpected sensations and a spontaneous existential 42nd Street out-of-body experience that cannot be described in words.Movie order:
