It's the perfect time of the year to discuss The Shining. The Shining has since been critically reappraised and is now often cited as one of the best, most iconic horror films and one of the greatest films of all time. The film was directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick and is based upon Stephen King's 1977 book, The Shining. It stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, and Scatman Crothers.
