Move Closer is a one-day retreat rooted in everything we care about: connection, mental health, accessibility, and creating spaces where people feel seen without having to perform. We host gatherings like this because community isn’t built from perfection — it’s built from presence. From shared breath, big authentic laughter, honest moments, and the courage to be with one another in real time. This day is an invitation to soften your edges, listen more deeply, and step closer to yourself, others, and the community we’re creating together.
12:00 – 12:15 PM | Arrival + Grounding
Guests arrive, settle into the space, and land in our shared container. Gentle music, tea, and a welcoming circle to introduce the theme of moving closer to ourselves, others, and presence.
12:15 – 1:30 PM | Somatic Movement + Yoga Practice
A guided experience of slow, somatic movement and yoga designed to soften protective patterns and open pathways of connection. This practice includes grounded movement, consent-based partner poses, supportive hands-on adjustments, pranayama for heart coherence and nervous system regulation, and guided meditation.
1:30 – 2:15 PM | Lunch
A plant-based, seasonal lunch catered by Chef Allison. A spacious pause for nourishment, integration, and informal connection.
2:15 – 3:30 PM | Tea Ceremony + Communal Activation
A quiet, relational ritual to slow down and remember how to listen — to yourself and to others. This includes a guided tea ceremony, journaling, partner and small group sharing, and gentle connection practices like eye contact, spoken intentions, or consensual touch. This space is devoted to presence without pressure, fixing, or performance.
3:30 – 4:00 PM | Integration + Closing Circle
We complete the day with a final circle of reflection, shared intentions, and gratitude — setting a collective vision for how we want to show up for one another moving forward.
