Mountain West VOAD Conference 2025

We host an annual conference that draws 100-150 people, which is exactly the size we like. We keep ticket prices low, and host meetings at local churches or other similar venues. 33% of our gross ticket sales go straight to our state VOAD host. The remainder covers conference costs. Our conference strives in helping to strengthen interstate relationships that make disaster response happen.

MWVOAD states have a few things in common:

• Large geographies
• Relatively disperse populations
• Relatively low incidences of disasters
• Relatively few resources

These factors mean that if somewhere like Wyoming experiences a disaster, organizations from Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska will probably respond. Consequently, interstate relationships are essential in the Mountain West.

A fun gathering dinner will be held on Monday, April 14th in the evening at 6:00 where all may gather and hear state reports and get to know each other during the BBQ.

Tuesday, April 15 will begin the speakers, workshops, and activities with registration beginning at 8:00 am.

The agenda will be posted on the website mwvoad.org as well as other information you will want to know about the conference.

We won't be able to provide alternatives for those that have food allergies. So if you have special dietary requirements we suggest you bring your own.

Lunch and snacks will be provided for Tuesday and Wednesday.

We invite you to attend in person as that is the best way to connect and forge friendships and networks, but we will have an online option. There will only be the one main room of speakers for the online part of the conference.
