Mothing Madness
About this Event
Moth week is a global citizen science event where people of all ages and backgrounds can help our scientists study moths all around the world. With a white sheet and a light, sit back and observe the many insects attracted to this shining beacon in the night.
Pre-Registration is required as this is an after-hours hike at the park; you can pre-register here. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the program to pay for your parking pass at the self-pay Contact Station kiosk. The group will first meet at the Visitor Center for a discussion about the event and some common species in our area that we may encounter.

Also, remember to dress for the weather: pants, long sleeves, and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. Be mindful of flying insects and ticks that may be present.
In case of inclement weather, check prior to coming to the park to check for any cancellations.
