About this Event

Don't be scared of the bugs that come out at night!

Some of them are dazzling and others are doing vital work for our ecosystem!

Guided by the Lepidoptera Guild - we will explore the river valley and all the life that comes out at night. Fingers crossed we can Experts will guide us on bug ID while we enjoy hot chocolate, the stars, and a fire in the heart of our city.

Download iNaturalist and help conservationists understand what species call Hawrelack Park home - prizes will be awarded to those who make the highest number of iNaturalist posts during this event & anyone who finds a cecropia silk moth or dogbane beetle.

Learn about the barriers animals and insects experience living in the river valley and learn how you can stand up for nature.
