Air, Fire, Water, Earth: the 4 classic natural elements; 4 cardinal directions; intersections; wholeness. This elemental yoga series consists of 4 themed classes, created to connect us with the essence of these energies, to elevate our intentions, and guide us in cultivating the synthesis of wholeness within our being.We were all born with a unique constitution and may be dominated by 1 or 2 elements, but these 4 components exist both within and around us, ready to be conjured, guiding our intentions and efforts as we choreograph our own unifying and balancing dance.
In each class, an element and a corresponding affirmation will be introduced. We’ll begin by moving through a slow and purposeful flow themed around that element, then surrender to the yin energy for the majority of the practice. Props will be provided as usual, as we soften into the longer holds of the yin shapes to nourish our joints, fascia and connective tissues. Meditative excerpts on each element will be shared throughout the practice.
It's encouraged that you try to join all the sessions for a well-rounded experience; if you can only make it to one or a couple of the elements, we would so love to have you!
