About this Event
Follow the yellow brick road to a weekend of healing, hope, and heart at our "Trudging the Road of Happy Destiny" retreat — a women’s AA gathering inspired by The Wizard of Oz and grounded in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Together, we’ll explore our spiritual journey toward a Higher Power and lasting recovery, just like Dorothy and her companions searching for courage, wisdom, and connection. Through engaging workshops tied to the theme, we’ll uncover what it means to walk the path of recovery with honesty, willingness, and faith. You’ll hear powerful speakers share their experience, strength, and hope — lighting the way for all of us on this shared road.
Whether you're new to sobriety or have been on this path for years, join us for a weekend filled with spiritual renewal, sisterhood bonding, and growth in recovery. Come as you are, leave with a full heart and a stronger connection to yourself, your fellows, and your Higher Power.
There’s no place like recovery — and no journey like this.

GIFT EXCHANGE (OPTIONAL):
As part of our weekend together, we highly encourage you to participate in a special Recovery Gift Exchange. Bring a personal item that has supported you on your journey — something meaningful that you’re now ready to pass on to another woman in recovery. This could be a book, a journal, a token, a piece of jewelry, or anything that once brought you strength, comfort, or clarity. (The item can be anything as long as you can explain the meaning, get CREATIVE!)
Offer it with love and intention, knowing it may be just what someone else needs as she faces similar struggles and continues her path to healing.
One woman’s past strength becomes another womans present hope.
If you are new in your journey and do not have an item that fits the criteria above your second option is to bring a store bought item. (ex. Bath and body works gift set, candles, journal, recovery books, gift card) This could be symbolic of something that you are currently practicing or plan to start, just be sure you can explain how it has or hope for it to positively impact your sobriety. Please make sure it's wrapped or in a gift bag.
DO NOT put your name on it. If it is a store bought item please do not spend more than $25.
