About this Event

More Than Food is more than just an event—it's a gathering of minds, hearts, and hands all working together for a stronger, more resilient community. This event aims to mark a significant milestone in our journey, providing an opportunity to reflect and think of how we can expand our impact through collaboration with others.

For the past five years, Tottenham Foodbank has been more than just a source of emergency food. We've been a lifeline for many, offering support, advice, and hope in challenging times. As we look ahead, we recognise that collaboration is key to expanding our impact and addressing the root causes of food insecurity.

Join us as we bring together community leaders, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries to share insights, celebrate successes, and envision the future. Through keynote speeches, interactive activities, and dynamic discussions, your insights and experience will be crucial in helping shape the next chapter of our journey.

We believe that by working together, we can continue to make a lasting impact. Your voice, your experience, and your passion are crucial to this mission. Let’s build the future together, where no one in our community has to face hunger or hardship alone.

Who Should Attend:

  • Community members and volunteers who are passionate about making a difference
  • Partners and stakeholders from local organisations, charities, businesses and social services
  • Anyone interested in being part of a collaborative effort to combat food insecurity in our community

Registration:

We believe that collaboration is the key to building a better future. Your participation in this event is not just welcomed—it’s essential. Please register early to secure your spot and join us in this journey toward a stronger, more connected community.

At the end of the event, enjoy a free hot cooked lunch, offering a chance to network with fellow attendees and continue the conversations started during the day.

Our Speakers and Panellists

Emma Revie, CEO, Trussell Trust

Emma Revie is the CEO of The Trussell Trust, a national charity committed to ending the need for food banks in the UK. Under her leadership, The Trussell Trust coordinates a network of over 1,300 food banks, including Tottenham Foodbank, offering emergency food supplies and support to people in crisis. The Trust also works to tackle the root causes of poverty by advocating for long-term systemic change.

Since joining The Trussell Trust in 2018, Emma has led initiatives to drive lasting change by working closely with policymakers, community groups, and volunteers to create a future where no one needs to rely on food banks. The Trust’s partnership with food banks like Tottenham Foodbank exemplifies its collaborative approach to building stronger, more resilient communities across the country.

Prior to her role at The Trussell Trust, Emma held leadership positions in various nonprofit organisations focused on social justice and poverty alleviation.

Dan Rogers, CEO, Public Voice

Dan is CEO of Public Voice, a nonprofit organisation that supports resident and community engagement to improve public services. Headquartered in Haringey, Public Voice leads (alongside Mind In Haringey) the Haringey Community Collaborative service, which acts as the strategic and capacity building lead for the borough’s voluntary and community sector.

Public Voice also delivers the local Healthwatch service, and various projects and forums to engage Haringey residents.

Prior to joining Public Voice in 2022, Dan worked in government-funded innovation to improve placemaking and population health and wellbeing.

Alice Igoe, Project Coordinator, The Bridge Renewal Trust

Alice Igoe is a Project Coordinator at The Bridge Renewal Trust, where she leads the Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) in Community Food Projects initiative. This project focuses on providing strategic support to build a coalition of community food initiatives offering IAG services. Alice's work fosters best practice sharing, encourages collaboration, and supports volunteer upskilling. Her ultimate goal is to create a sustainable framework that better serves users and addresses the root causes of food poverty.

Alice Webster, Financial Inclusion Manager, Trussell Trust

Alice Webster is the Financial Inclusion Manager for London at The Trussell Trust, a role she has held for three years. With over 15 years of experience working in financial inclusion across charitable organisations, Alice plays a key role in supporting food banks to develop and deliver projects focused on income maximisation and timely access to advice for individuals at risk of needing to visit food banks.

Her work is instrumental in achieving The Trussell Trust's vision of ending the need for food banks in the UK, particularly in London. Alice has had the privilege of supporting Tottenham Foodbank in its efforts to provide comprehensive advice and support to its community. She has seen firsthand how Tottenham Foodbank has developed its services to address the root causes of food poverty, and she continues to work closely with them as they expand their impact.
