More than AI-dministrators: The future of delivery in the age of AI
About this Event
AI can now automate much of the admin that has traditionally sat with Delivery Managers - status reports, chasing tickets, updating boards. So where does that leave Delivery?
This panel starts from the premise that the admin was never where DMs added value in the first place. The real skilled work often happens in the shadows: sorting out a dependency before it blows up, rebuilding trust after something's gone wrong, knowing when to push and when to leave well alone. That work is intangible, but it isn't invisible in its effects - it's what enables a team to deliver value in the first place.
If AI takes on the doing, what's left isn't a smaller version of managing. The impact and opportunity at altitude is greater than ever, leading increasingly complex, AI-connected systems of work where flow-based thinking is more valuable, not less.
What you'll hear
Delivery leads from public sector, private sector and consultancy on:
- How to manage expectations when faster engineers don't always equal faster delivery
- An increased shift from managing the work to owning the system around it
- Why Delivery will be well placed to solve the new problems AI adoption surfaces, before we've fully understood them
- Whether we can actually prove this work's value without reducing it back to the metrics we're trying to move beyond?
Who this is for
Anyone whose job title never quite covers what they actually spend their day doing.
This event is sponsored by Hippo in connection with Leeds Digital Festival. Hippo is a full service digital design consultancy that builds for impact whilst putting humans first. We do digital transformation, bridging the gap between user-centred design principles and robust engineering, data and cyber practices, leading to transformational results, including improved public service access and functionality.
