Calling Gloucester-area businesses and nonprofits: join the Gloucester Resource Council on Wednesday, August 5, from 9:30–11:00 a.m. to learn about TWO valuable community resources that can support your work and strengthen local partnerships.
First, Work Based Learning Coordinator Eugene Schoeck of Gloucester High School will share how your business or nonprofit can partner with CTE students—helping students meet diploma requirements while bringing fresh energy, skills, and support to your organization.
During this meeting, Hunter LeClair, Gloucester County’s Tourism, Marketing, and Events Manager will also highlight a second resource designed to connect individuals, families, and groups with local volunteer opportunities while helping nonprofits and community organizations recruit volunteers more effectively.
Volunteer River Counties, known as the Rural Volunteer Accelerator, is a free online volunteer hub. Originally created to build volunteer capacity across Virginia’s River Counties, the initiative brings together cross-sector partners, shared tools, and best practices to strengthen civic engagement and make it easier for organizations to find the volunteer support they need.

📍GRC is a network of non-profits, services, and agencies that meet the first Wednesday of every month to share resources and needs across the community.

🏛️ Organizations: Join us to spread the word about your event, resource, or need, and to learn about others who may share your passion.
🙋 Individuals: Join us to learn about services and agencies in our community that are here to help those who need them, and how you can get involved or support these efforts.
