Monthly Housing Coop Meet Up

Rents are suffocating, landlords are profit sucking vampires, house prices are astronomic and social housing isn’t built to anywhere near the quantities we need. Most of us have precious little control over the spaces we live in, instead fitting into standard rollout flats or under-maintained rental rooms.

Housing co-operatives can offer us a third way. We can create housing without landlords, where tenants control the rents, and the homes are removed from the speculative housing market forever.

Setting them up can be a challenge. As with anything outside the mainstream norm there is a lot to learn and work out during the process. Wherever you are in that process between “this idea seems neat, I want to learn more” to “I’ve been doing this for decades and I want to help out the newbies”, come along to this regular meetup to chat about and expand the housing co-op network.
