The Death Cafe model (designed to increase awareness of death with a view to helping us make the most of our finite lives) was developed in England by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz.
Our principles:
- With no intention of leading participants to any conclusion, product or course of action.
- As an open, respectful and confidential space where people can express their views safely.
- On a not-for-profit basis.
- Alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!
