One of the most common forms of hardcover books and have been around since the 1450s. Their popularity is due in large part to the rise of printing presses and a demand for cheaper books.Case bindings are sturdy and long-lasting. They can be highly decorative using a multitude of coverings, headbands, endpapers, and finishing. Create your own case binding with the American Bookbinders Museum on Saturday, December 14th, at 1pm.
