Monsoon in the Chaarbagh: A Heavenly Match of Gardens & Tomb

As summer gives way to monsoons its time to be out again with DelhiByFoot! The trees are fresh washed clean of the months of grime and dust with their avian friends adding music with a dash of colour as their breeding season swishes in with the monsoony breeze! When the rulers of yore died they wanted to be buried in gardens that reflect the beauty of paradise. With this aim grand tombs with beautiful landscapes were created… lush gardens interwoven with glassy streams creating an ambience of peace and tranquility. The result was captivating historical wonders. 

We invite you to experience one of Delhi’s popular Garden tombs, Safdarjung Tomb under the golden glow of the setting sun and as they begin to light up in the night… with a leisurely evening stroll amongst the greens listening to sounds of chirping birds and the "out-of-this-world spooky" feeling which envelopes the calming environs as the sun sets...when giant trees & monuments take on a different colour & life of their own!!
