About this Event
Many people try to change their financial behavior without ever understanding what that behavior is protecting.
This workshop offers a safe, reflective space to explore the beliefs, emotions, and patterns silently running your financial life.
Join facilitators Mary Pichette and Paige Brettle for a powerful afternoon of guided reflection, trauma‑informed money insights, and practical tools to shift from unconscious patterns into clarity, agency, and healthier financial decision‑making.
What You’ll Experience
Opening Circle
Connect with the group and reflect on the question: “What brought you here today?”
Money Truth Dump
Using a structured worksheet and silent reflection, you’ll uncover your current beliefs, emotional reactions, avoidance patterns, and overreactions around money.
How Trauma Shapes Money
Learn how overspending, underearning, avoidance, and hyper‑control are not random — they are protective responses shaped by past experiences.
Guided Reflection: Money & Trauma
Explore your internal narratives and lived experiences – and learn how to make (and verify) informed financial decisions. You’ll leave with concrete action steps to support your financial safety and stability.
Break, refreshments, and Snacks provided
Pattern Interruption
Shift from awareness to agency. Identify which patterns support you – and which hold you back. Explore what your habits protect you from, and what they may be costing you.
Takeaway: Most people try to change behavior without understanding what it’s protecting.
Activation & Next Steps
Reflect on the beliefs you need to question, the decisions you’ve been avoiding, and who you need to become to feel more financially secure and informed.
