This class is open to anyone wishing to develop a Qi Gong practice. We'll explore this wonderful aspect of Chinese medicine as a path to increased vitality, health and longevity, as well as spiritual growth.
Qi Gong is an ancient practice which combines graceful movements with abdominal breathing and mindfulness, allowing us to connect with Nature and balance the body's circadian rhythms. Benefits of Qi Gong include a strengthened immune system, greater balance and flexibility, and emotional balance; often after doing Qi Gong one will want to smile spontaneously!
This class will focus on a set of Qi Gong called the Eight Brocades, one of the most widely practiced and beneficial forms of Qi Gong.
Jonah has been studying Chinese internal martial arts and Qi Gong with Shifu Glen Moore since 2011. He has a deep interest in Taoist philosophy and Chinese medicine and aspires to share these forms of healing with contemporary seekers of all backgrounds.
