Mom & Me: Stories Made By Hand
About this Event
Join us for a warm and engaging family program featuring a reading of the children’s picture book Parsa’s Pithas, followed by a hands-on Bengali cultural folk art activity.
Designed for children and their caregivers, this program creates opportunities to connect, learn, and explore culture together in a welcoming and interactive setting. Through storytelling, families will build early literacy skills while discovering elements of Bengali traditions and cultural expression.
The accompanying folk art activity encourages creativity, curiosity, and participation, while providing a meaningful opportunity for caregivers and children to work together. The program also supports social-emotional learning by fostering communication, connection, confidence, and shared experiences.
Families will leave with new knowledge, creative memories, and a deeper appreciation for Bengali culture and storytelling. This program is an inviting way for families to learn, create, and strengthen their relationships through the joy of books and art.
